My, how time flies. Next month marks 45 years since the end of the Vietnam War. I listened with interest to Carl Robinson, former American journalist and aid worker who worked in Vietnam at the height of the war, discuss his book, The Bite of the Lotus: An Intimate Memoir of the Vietnam War. In this talk, Robinson openly discusses how his traumatic war experiences led to heroin addiction. He is now in a better place in life, living in Australia since 1977, and he now makes a living writing books and running boutique tours to Vietnam.
