To boldly go where no pedant has gone before

This popped up on my Instagram feed. What is a "collecatble?" This challenges my conception that web developers, science fiction fans, or owners of geeky collectables stores are also sticklers for correct spelling.

Social leprosy

At the end of another year, it is apt to reflect on the past. My naffest New Year's Eve ever was spent at home, watching this Star Trek 30th anniversary special, and eating McDonald's. The worst parts were the with unfunny "comedy" skit with Kate Mulgrew, who played Captain Janeway in Star Trek: Voyager, with cast members from Frasier playing her crew, and a performance by Kenny G.

From memory, I only watched it out of boredom. I have never been much of a Star Trek fan. I liked The Next Generation, and some of the movies, but could never get into Deep Space Nine or Voyager. This is the first, and probably only time, I will write about Star Trek on this blog.
