Poll position

One of Australia's leading news websites prepared a handy guide to minor parties running in the Senate in the 2019 federal election. One of these parties is Australian Better Families. I can't say I have even heard of them until today. Their key policies include family law reform to improve the health and well-being of families through extended mediation and counselling, ending homelessness by providing crisis accommodation with clear pathways to community housing, child support reform to ensure on time payments for parents, caps on payments and penalties for restricting child access, mental health reform by investing in community based mental health hubs that are supported by specialist care units, and family violence reform to ensure all victims regardless of their age, gender or sexuality are provided access to services. There's something on offer for everyone, then.

They also want to establish a Minister for Men. This will complement the existing Minister for Women portfolio, and ensure Australian boys, men and fathers have a dedicated ministerial portfolio for men. A minister for men will ensure national male health and education programs are in place and appropriately funded.

As you can see from this screen capture, unfortunately, a typographical error in this article calls it a "Minster for men." Imagine that. A church building built and paid for by the government, and for the exclusive use of males. That would send both secularists and radical feminists into a pink fit.
