See the value in trials, says theologian

British theologian Dr. Jonathan Lamb has provided another sorely needed corrective to those Christians who, influenced by success-oriented theologies, are under the impression that being a Christian means living a cushy, transcendent life where you're somehow exempted from having to experience suffering or trials of any kind. Not on this side of eternity, I'm afraid.
