Cacchination

In the recent past I haven't had much time to read for pleasure, which I've been trying to make up for over the summer. This is what's been sitting on the coffee table near my armchair; Molvania: A Land Untouched by Modern Dentistry, (Hardie Grant, ISBN 1740661109) by Santo Cilauro, Tom Gleisner, and Rob Sitch. This is the first in their series of spoof Jetlag travel guides, and is good for a laugh. Never mind that it's been out for four years, and I'm only getting around to reading it now. The humour in this book is largely based on perpetuating innaccurate stereotypes of Eastern European countries as being run down backwaters, but not in a mean-spirited way.

Hey Ross - I have all three books and still haven't read any of them yet. Glad to hear they are a good read though. I am sure I will get around to them....one day!!

Thanks for the comment. I've read the third book, San Sombrero, but haven't read Phaic Tan yet. Who said lightning doesn't strike more than once?
