Flashpoint Melbourne
This is how mainstream media reported on the Sunday, May 19, Never Again is Now, a combined Christian and Jewish rally against antisemitism, held on the steps of Victoria's State Parliament House. Rally organisers made every attempt to keep it peaceful, and attendees safe. The actions of some demonstrators on the other side, who thought it was appropriate to physically attack and verbally abuse their opponents, shows why antisemitism needs to be strongly opposed in the first place. Attacking defenceless people is no way to help the Palestinian cause. It's also hypocritical to claim the moral high ground, while bashing up old age pensioners.
