Barbara Heineback was the first African American woman to serve as a press officer to a US first lady, namely Rosalynn Carter, wife of President Jimmy Carter (1977-1981). She has since had a long career in public relations. She recently appeared at the Sydney Institute, talking about the US After the Death of George Floyd: Overflowing Anger Vs Voices of Hope.
It is worth watching the entire video if you want to better understand the current situation of unrest in the United States, and how the situation may be able to be changed.
Here's a bold from Heineback, and one that to my knowledge, no other observer of American politics has made. If he is elected President in November 2020, Joe Biden will serve a couple of months before stepping down for his Vice President.
