Transmute

News broke overnight that the Russo Brothers, of Avengers: Endgame, are planning a film adaptation of Battle of the Planets. Back in the late 1970s, this was the English language version of the Japanese animated series, Science Ninja Team Gatchaman. 

The English language version was censored, omitting the Japanese version's graphic violence, profanity, and other adult concepts, and adding a child friendly robot narrator character, who had a cute robot dog for a pet.

As someone who watched this series as a child, I am hoping that this film version will be closer in tone to the Japanese version than the English language one.
