Current Hollywood it girl Jennifer Lawrence will next appear in Joy. Joy is based on the true story of Joy Mangano, a struggling single mother who overcomes adversity to become the head of a business empire. It almost sounds like the plot of a Danielle Steele novel.

Also starring Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper, Joy will be released in the United States on December 25th, and in Australia and most other international markets in January 2016, just in time for the awards season.
