Barbarism

Just when you thought that the Islamic State could not possibly be any more barbaric, comes news of another prominent victim of their murderous rampage. Khaled Asaad was a 82 year old archaeologist working for the Syrian government's antiquities department. He was working at a site in the ancient city of Palmyra, now under Islamic State control.

According to a hand written note left next to his decapitated body, he was killed because he was "tending the site’s “idols”, attending “blasphemous” conferences, visiting Iran and communicating with generals in the Syrian regime."

What will it take to stop them?
