An oldie but a goodie

During a quiet period at work I was reading an article about the composition of Horatio Spafford's famous hymn, It is Well With My Soul (1873), which has been loved by generations of Christians ever since.  The Library of Congress in Washington, DC has an exhibition about Spafford's tragic life. Spafford and his wife were well acquainted with suffering, which gives the lyrics of this hymn added resonance.

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

It is well, it is well,
With my soul, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath she'd His own blood for my soul.

It is well, It is well,
With my soul, with my soul
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
It was nailed trough his cross, and I bear it no more,
Bless the Lord, bless the Lord, O my soul!

It is well, It is well
With my soul, with my soul
It is well, it is well, with my soul

Plenty of artists have recorded their own versions of this hymn, but American Christian band Palisade recorded a version of it in 2007, and if my opinion is worth anything, their three part harmonies sound amazing. It should be available for download from a good (that is, legitimate) online music store.
