Pray for North Korea

North Korea is probably the world's only remaining hardline Communist regime, and may be accurately described as an oppressive, Stalinist backwater, with one of the worst human rights records of any nation in the world.

Whilst government rhetoric proclaims freedom of religion, the reality is far different. Between 50,000 and 70,000 Christians are currently suffering in prison camps. People are still putting their lives at stake by trying to flee to China. After crossing the border, several people have converted after coming into contact with Christians. Considering Christianity to be a tremendous threat to stability in the country, the North Korean government hunts Christians all over the country, especially those who try to return from China. They are frequently arrested, tortured and even killed.

It's not too often that I agree wholeheartedly with George W, but in the case of his thoughts on Kim Jong Il, I completely endorse his sentiment of "I loathe the man".

Kin Jong hams it up and collects thousands of inordinately expensive, rare cartoon cells for his home collection at the taxpayer's expense, and diverts vast sums to his pet weapons programs while his subjects starve in the streets.

Furthermore, the prison camps that you mention, are an international disgrace. They're even visible on Google Earth now. I'll try to get you a link.
