My theological worldview

Given that I've only began to formally study theology this semester, I see myself as an L-plate theologian. Still, these results are pretty interesting. Once I've done some further study, I'll probably have a better understanding of how I got these results. If nothing else, it shows that working and studying at Kingsley has been a good spiritual influence on me.

You scored as Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan. You are an evangelical in the Wesleyan tradition. You believe that God's grace enables you to choose to believe in him, even though you yourself are totally depraved. The gift of the Holy Spirit gives you assurance of your salvation, and he also enables you to live the life of obedience to which God has called us. You are influenced heavly by John Wesley and the Methodists.

And you call yourself a Baptist! Sounds like you're really a closet Wesleyan. Well done mate

Yes Peter. As I say, it appears Kingley has been a good influence on me. Maybe I could call myself a Bapthodist?

OK, here are my stats... no huge surprises... I'm already acutely aware that I'm basically just another Wesleyan in Baptist garb... :)

Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan 64%
Emergent/Postmodern 61%
Neo orthodox 50%
Charismatic/Pentecostal 46%
Classical Liberal 39%
Reformed Evangelical 39%
Roman Catholic 39%
Modern Liberal 36%
Fundamentalist 25%

The Emergent church ranking is probably a little too high given my strong Modernist leanings and disdain for Postmodernity...

Interestingly, I learned just recently that two of my favourite scholars, William Lane Craig and Ben Witherington III, are both from a Wesleyan tradition... hmmm... coincidence or not??

Steve, thanks for stopping by. The survey is from a website, Quizfarm.com. If any Christian tradition is missing from the results, perhaps its the fault of those who designed the survey.

James, your probably know this, but Witherington is a faculty member at Asbury Theological Seminary, which is part of the Wesleyan "family" of colleges, to which Kingsley also belongs.
